SALSA
Whether this is the first time you even think of dancing salsa or you already quite know your way around the dance floor and want to learn some new moves, you’re in the right place. We provide professional and fun-filled salsa lessons on different levels. Most people in Aruba who dance salsa, dance the ‘crioyo’ style. ArubaSalsa will teach you a unique, different and beautiful style of salsa with turns and impressive combinations called ‘L.A. Style’ , one of the most popular styles in the world.
If you’re not sure in which level you should start, you can always ask one of the instructors.
I Beginners salsa
If you think salsa is just a Spanish sauce to spice up up your taco and/or you never heard terms like ‘basic forward’ and ‘cross body lead’ before, than you’re probably in the right level to start your dance adventure.
In this level you will learn the basics of salsa by executing the right techniques, posture and how to dance to the rhythm. Controlling the basics is essential for the higher levels, so even if you’ve already danced some salsa in the past, you can consider to fresh up your memory with this course.
II Semi-intermediate
You’re comfortable with the basic steps and now it’s time to smooth out the edges and make it all look en feel even better. You will learn to use your basic knowledge and techniques to execute very nice patterns. We’ll teach the men how to lead and the ladies learn to apply beautiful ladies styling.
III Intermediate
You quite know your way around/on the dance floor and you are now able to apply everything you’ve learned into new patterns. In the third level we will also teach you impressive shines (solo salsa steps) to show off once in a while and you will learn how to combine all of this in a spectacular dance. You will be able to mix and match everything and use you creativity to make your own unique style.
IV Semi-advanced
Be prepared to turn it up a notch. After you successfully completed the intermediate course, you’re ready for faster music, more extended patterns and turns. In this level we will also start with spins for ladies and men. We will focus on the right techniques in order for you to execute these spins easily.
V and VI, Advanced 1 & 2
Now it’s time to really put your dancing skills to the test. You are completely comfortable on the dance floor. In these advanced levels we will challenge you with more complicated patterns with spins and faster footwork. We will help you to refine your dance style and teach you how to add your own creative steps, moves and styling to make it YOUR salsa!
Of course you’re never done with salsa. There will always be more to learn! That’s why the advanced classes are never the same, we will teach you different things every time you take the course.

BACHATA
Bachata is a great dance from the Dominican Republic. This dance is easy to learn for everyone. In this bachata course we will focus on executing the basic steps and the characteristic hip movement. You will also learn nice turns and patterns.

MERENGUE
Merengue is so much fun, but can become boring sometimes if you only know the basic steps. Our Merengue Course is a great opportunity to spice up your Merengue dancing! In this course we will teach you nice combinations and we teach you how to play with the music. We will start with the basic steps, so if you are new to Merengue dancing you can also join this course. It’s gonna be a lot of fun guaranteed!

RUEDA
Rueda is a dynamic and exciting dance from Cuba and officially called: “Rueda de Casino”. Rueda means “wheel” and it’s called Rueda because you are dancing in a circle with other couples. While you are dancing salsa, you constantly follow the calls of the leader to switch partners and to do certain dance moves.

SALSA4KIDS
In our Salsa4Kids course it’s all about learning how to dance in a playful and fun way! The kids will learn Salsa and Merengue (and in higher levels Bachata). Starting with dancing at a young age will help your kids create a great sense of rhythm and learn to coordinate their body movements. Dancing improves their confidence and self-esteem and it will stimulate their creativity. Above all it’s a social activity, where boys and girls of different ages will learn to dance and interact with each other.
Our dance lessons for kids are a new and unique concept in Aruba where fun will be the focal point. There will be music instruments, dance games, reward cards and much more! This course is for kids between 7 and 12 years old.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are ideal when you want to learn salsa, bachata or merengue at your own pace and your own level, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. We will completely adjust the speed of these lessons to you. You can take private lessons with or without a dance partner or with a small group. The dates and times for private lessons are flexible. Call 585-7939 to schedule your private lessons. We also offer private lessons at your home for an additional fee.
