ArubaSalsa with a special help for Haiti

As the biggest dance school on Aruba, ArubaSalsa came up with a special campaign to help the people in Haiti after the devastated earthquake that left a lot of people in great necessity. Each person that signs in and pay for their new salsa courses of ArubaSalsa, can make an extra donation of Afl. 2.50. The sum received at the end ArubaSalsa will double the amount and donate it to Red Cross. Let us all join together to help Haiti.

ArubaSalsa car sticker campaign

End of year, ArubaSalsa announced their car sticker campaign. If you put the ArubaSalsa sticker on you car and we see you with it, we will write your plate number and you will get a chance to win a 1 year salsa course for FREE! We already have a long list of numbers and students who are proudly driving around with their ArubaSalsa stickers. The prize is for two persons and has a value of Afl.1500,00. The car stickers are available at all the locations where ArubaSalsa is giving their classes and free try-out class of salsa. The winner will be announced at the end of this month.

Salsa Night at Party City Cafe

During the celebration of the first anniversary of ArubaSalsa, Reggie and Sabine presented the new slogan for the local market: ArubaSalsa: Baila… Goza… Biba! (ArubaSalsa: Dance… Enjoy… Live!) Together with the new slogan they also launched the end of year campaign.

A lot of thinking went into the making of the new slogan for the dance school. The slogan had to be ‘short and catchy’, but it must have said something about ArubaSalsa and dancing in general. With the help and feedback of the students of ArubaSalsa they came up with the slogan: Baila… Goza… Biba!
The slogan has a deeper meening. Dancing for the community of Aruba is an important part of the culture. The Arubians love to dance and enjoy it together. When you dance, you forget all your worries and you have fun and enjoy yourself. Dancing always makes you feel better. You feel that you are Alive! In other words, when you dance you enjoy yourself, when you enjoy yourself you feel alive. And that’s what happens in the lessons of ArubaSalsa, they make you enjoy your life more!

During the party on Saturday, ArubaSalsa also launched their end of year campaign. Reggie and Sabine gave away car stickers of ArubaSalsa with the new slogan. Everyone that puts the stickers on their car will have a chance to win 1 year of FREE salsa courses with ArubaSalsa. This prize is for two persons and has a value of Afl. 1500. When your car is spotted with the ArubaSalsa sticker, your licence plate will be noted. In January of 2010 the winner will be announced. Everyone who wants to participate in this campaign to win a 1-year free course can get the stickers at ArubaSalsa. Every Wednesday night ArubaSalsa is at Bugaloe Beach Bar with their Latin Night from 7pm to 11pm.

On October 27 & 28 of 2008 ArubaSalsa officially started with dance lessons for locals.
Now…it’s time to CELEBRATE!

We are throwing a big party on Saturday the 7th of November at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom. The popular Aruba Band “Prive” will be playing the best Salsa, Merengue and Bachata hits all night long. Salsa 4 Kids!

Do you have kids and do they love to dance? Or do they want to learn? Let them join our Salsa course for all kids between the ages of 7 and 12. It’s a weekly hour of fun and a great exercise!

Starting with dancing at a young age will help your kids create a great sense of rhythm and learn to coordinate their body movements. Dancing improves their confidence and self-esteem and it will stimulate their creativity. Above all it’s a social activity, where boys and girls of different ages will learn to dance and interact with each other.

Our dance lessons for kids will be a new and unique concept in Aruba where fun will be the focal point. There will be music instruments, reward cards, prizes and much more!
We will not only teach Salsa but also Merengue and we will do stretching exercises as well.

SALSA 4 KIDS
The course consists of 8 lessons of 1 hour and will take place at 2BFIT studio in Noord.
The lessons will start on Saturday August 29 at 11am and costs Afl. 95 for the whole course.

Get ready to Salsa! ArubaSalsa’s new season starts on August 10, 11, 13 and 15. We offer classes from beginners to advanced in Noord, Santa Cruz and San Nicolas.

Courses beginners level:

San Nicolas
Monday 10th of August: 8-9 pm

Noord
Tuesday 11th of August: 7-8 pm

Santa Cruz
Saturday 15th of August: 8-9 pm

Bachateros ready for Aventura concert!

Four weeks ago we started with a bachata course especially for the Aventura concert this Wednesday. Last Saturday was the last lesson of the fast course. All students became great bachata dancers with a lot of cool moves and combinations to show off at the concert. As a bonus we gave away two tickets to the Aventura concert and two Aventura CD’s. We wish the lucky winners of the tickets; Arnold and Nina a lot of fun at the concert!

ArubaSalsa expands to Santa Cruz

ArubaSalsa has great news for the people of Santa Cruz and everyone who lives nearby: starting on Saturday the 4th of April we will offer salsa courses in Santa Cruz! Our lessons will be held at Platinum Club, a central location with airconditioning and good parking.

In September and October of 2008 ArubaSalsa started for the first time with lessons for locals in Noord, San Nicolas and Oranjestad. After two successful dance seasons, expanding to Santa Cruz was a logical step for us.

Since we startes with lessons for locals, we got a lot of requests from people from Santa Cruz to start with dance lessons there. For us it was only a matter of finding the right location to start in Santa Cruz. We’ve now found the right location: Platinum Club. It’s a very nice, spacious location in the heart of Santa Cruz. Platinum Club is located on top of Subway, in front of Wema. ArubaSalsa is the first dance company that offers salsa lessons for adults and teens in Santa Cruz.

The first course starts on Saturday April the 4th at 7 pm. The course consists of 10 lessons of 1 hour.

Great atmosphere at Bugaloe’s ‘Salsa night’

On Wednesday February the 25th Bugaloe’s dance floor on the Palm Pier was filled with locals and tourists dancing to live Latin music. It was the first ‘Salsa night’, organized by Bugaloe and ArubaSalsa. The night started at 7 pm, with a beautiful sunset in the background and great live Latin music by Grupo Melao, one of the best salsa bands of the island. ArubaSalsa was there to get everyone on the dance floor with a fun and free salsa and merengue workshop. The evening was a huge success, with thanks to our ArubaSalsa students, who came and took the opportunity to practice their salsa moves and to learn some merengue!

We got a lot of positive reactions from visitors since they really enjoyed to go out and dance to live music before 11pm. The atmosphere at Bugaloe was very relaxed and with a nice breeze it was a very enjoyable evening under the Aruban stars.

This coming Wednesday there will be another ‘Salsa Night’ and a new chance for everyone who would like to come dance and have fun. Would you like to learn how to dance salsa or merengue? Take this opportunity to learn the basics of these great Caribbean dances with a free workshop by Reggie & Sabine. Everyone’s invited!
